Vanport Community Strip; Community Lettered Patches identified the State that the Troop and the Scout reside in and support Scouting.

Every council has shoulder patches that individually identifies their council.  Council shoulder patches came into existence in 1972.  The councils change their designs that are embroidered on their CSP’s.

Councils also designed and made Council CSP Hat Pins for Scouts and Scouters to trade with other scouts or Scouters.

State Lettered Patches Identify the State that the Scout and their Troop is a Member

Council Lettered Patches identified the Council membership; colors RWS,TRS,KRS,GBS,BBS,  in 1/2 strips, Full Strips and State strips

Vanport Community Strip, Community Lettered Patches identified the Community that the Troop and Scout was a member

Council and District Round Patches Identify the Council or District that the Scout and their Troop is a Member

Council Neckerchiefs and Slides identify the Council the Scout and Troop are Members, a Council Activity or a Council Contingent

Jamboree Shoulder Patches, Neckerchiefs and Slides Identify the Council, the Scout and Troop are part of this Council Jamboree Contingent

Regional Shoulder Patches identify the Region the Scout and Scouter are Members or identify a National Activity
