The neckerchief is part of the Scouting uniform. It is usually worn over the collar. However, some Scouts choose to roll their collar under their shirt.

Emergency rope: The neckerchief can be used as an emergency rope when tied together.

Symbolism: The neckerchief has symbolic uses, and each Scout group often has its own unique design and colors.
